Jackie Brettner practices in the areas of insurance coverage and insurance litigation, risk management services, and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Brettner was heavily involved in the litigation stemming from Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and Ike as well as the Chinese Drywall Litigation and the BP Oil Spill – Deepwater Horizon. She specializes in the interpretation of oil and gas “package” policies, including all forms of well control insurance. Ms. Brettner is also a certified Civil and Commercial Mediator. Her mediation practice centers on the resolution of complex insurance coverage disputes.
Ms. Brettner is originally from the Republic of Panama and currently resides in Madisonville and New Orleans, Louisiana. She concurrently serves as General Counsel to the non-profit, Panama Gateway International Association, Inc., and is also Chair to the ADR Section and Vice-Chair for the International Law Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
