2016 Super-Region Canvas Workshop: Panama – A Tale of Two Coasts,
taking place September 20-23, 2016 in the country of Panama.

NEW ORLEANS, La. [May 10, 2016]: Today, Greater New Orleans, Inc. opened registration for the 2017 Canvas Workshop to Panama City, Panama. Every 18 months, the Southeast Super-Region embarks upon a Canvas Workshop to another major metro area to learn best practices from other “super-regions,” such as Phoenix-Tucson and Tampa-Orlando. With the country of Panama selected for 2016 – the first-ever international canvas – Louisiana leaders will explore the relationship of the cosmopolitan south [Panama City] with the industrial north [Colon], connected of course, by the Panama Canal.

Recently named #1 City to Visit in the World by The New York Times, Panama is a diverse international metropolis, characterized with vibrancy, economic growth, and opportunities for partnerships with the businesses and communities of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.

GNO, Inc., the Baton Rouge Area Chamber [BRAC], and South LA Economic Council [SLEC], which together form the Southeast Super-Region Committee [SRC], are thrilled to offer this new experience that expands the Canvas Workshop platform, with an international theme.
