  Rufino Saavedra is the Honorary Consul of Peru in New Orleans effective 2010.

  Note that in 1999, the Gulf Coast International Chamber of Commerce, under the Presidency of Dr. Vinicio Madrigal, was merged into the Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, under the Presidency of Rufino Saavedra.  The new name of the ensuing organization was the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana.  President Saavedra remained in office until the end of 1999.

  Vinicio Madrigal, M.D.

  Note:  Dr. Madrigal was Founder and  President of the Gulf Coast International Chamber of Commerce.  In 1999, said chamber was merged into the Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce under the Presidency of Rufino Saavedra.  The new name given to the ensuing merged organization was the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana - the organization as it stands today.  While Dr. Madrigal was technically never a president of HCCL, we wish to include him here as an integral part of the history and growth of the organization following the merger.  He served with distinction as a member of the HCCL Board.
