    Mrs. Pineda is a local business woman and the President & CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana, where over the years, she has worked tirelessly to develop strong and long-lasting business relationships between Louisiana and the Hispanic Community and Latin America. Mrs. Pineda is a former Consul General of Honduras in New Orleans, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. Mrs. Pineda has been the recipient of the Leadership Award by the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation, the High Achievement in Compliance by Subway Corporation, and Honoree of Men and Women of Fashion/Prix de Elegance, as well as SABAA Business Woman of the Year, in New Orleans, and the Personality of the Year by Que Pasa Festival, also in New Orleans. She is a former President of the NOHHF (2008-2011) and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation since 2000.  She is also a current and active board member of the following organizations: The National Association of Subway Franchisees, The International Hospital for Children of New Orleans, The New Orleans City Park Board, The Jefferson Economic Development Board and The Cerro de Plata Tegucigalpa Foundation of Honduras, and the Jefferson Parish Diversity Board.

    Anselmo R. Rodriguezwas born in Venezuela in June 1964. He was raised in Maracay, State of Aragua – Venezuela, where attended Marist Catholic School and the International School. He is the younger of the two childrenof Oswaldo Andres Rodriguez and Ligia Manzo de Rodriguez. Anselmo is happily married to J. Leonor Corrales Rodriguez and has four children: Oswaldo (32), Anselmo E. (27), Ruben (21) and Gabriel (14). He also has 4 grandchildren, Audrey (8), Adrian (2), Kolby (1) and Alexandra (Deceased).

    He has been a resident of Louisiana for close to 30 years. Anselmoarrived to Baton Rouge in 1980. He obtained his B.S. in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 1985 and his Master in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University 1995.

    From 1986 until 1991he joined General Motors as part of their Service Parts Operations in Venezuela. Initially, he worked in the role of Systems Analyst and later in the role of Inventory Control Manager. During this period he managed the supply of service parts to the GM’s Venezuelan market sourced from the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany,Singapore, Japan and Venezuela.

    In 1991, Anselmo relocated to Louisiana in pursuit of his M.B.A. The following year, he joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana where he has worked for over 23 years. Through the years, he has served BCBSLA in the areas of Information Technology, Budgeting and Planning and Supply Chain Management. Currently he holds the position of Manager, Supply Chain Management.In addition to Inventory Control, Corporate Purchasing Card Program and Sourcing, he is responsible for BCBSLA’s Supplier Diversity Program. Under his leadership BCBSLA has been recognized in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 as the Local Corporation of the Year by the SRMSDC and in 2012 and 2015 as Corporation of the Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana. He was also was personally recognized in 2007 as the Buyer of year by the SRMSDC.

    Anselmo is recognized as a Certified Professional in Supply Management by the Institute of Supply Management since 2009 and serves as a Director to the BCBS Association’s National Sourcing and Purchasing Council.

    Anselmo’spast community involvement includes being the Treasurer of the Louisiana Minority Supplier Development Council and of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana. He serveda member of the Interlocked Board of Directors for the new four state areaSouth Region Minority Supplier Development Council, Vice President 2013-2014 & President 2014-2015 and of the Capital City Rotary Club in Baton Rouge, LA. He currently serves as Chair of the LA Corporate Advisory Committee and member of the Certification Committee of South Region Minority Supplier Development Council and President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana.

    Jackie Brettner practices in the areas of insurance coverage and insurance litigation, risk management services, and alternative dispute resolution. Her mediation practice centers on the resolution of complex insurance coverage disputes.

    Ms. Brettner is originally from the Republic of Panama and currently resides in Madisonville and New Orleans, Louisiana.     Blanca Robinson is the outgoing President of the Women’s Business Enterprise Council South (WBEC South), one of 14 regional partner organizations of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Having taken the helm in 1998, Robinson was WBEC South’s first employee, charged with moving the organization from a volunteer-managed entity to a professionally-staffed one. At that time the organization was still emerging, with only 75 Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs), a handful of Corporate Members, and a presence exclusively in Louisiana.During Robinson’s tenure, which has spanned seventeen years, WBEC South has grown to over 700 WBES and 40 Corporate Members. Focused on building relationships across a large territory and ensuring an outstanding women-owned business certification process, Robinson led the organization to its prominence today as one of WBENC’s successful Regional Partner Organizations. She has been responsible for the organization’s daily management and operations across its extensive territory of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and the Florida Panhandle.

    Robinson’s background also encompasses 22 years in the oil and gas industry in South Texas where she worked for Conoco as a Financial Analyst holding numerous positions.

    Robinson has always been passionate about women’s initiatives and her involvement with several women’s organizations helped solidify that passion.Inspired by female entrepreneurs she has met and in keeping with her passion for jewelry, she started Bella Designs, a small jewelry design business in 2008. She has earned certification as an Executive Coach and formed VIVA Consulting Group, a coaching and small business consulting firm, which will officially launch after her retirement this December.

    Robinson holds a business degree from Texas A&I University, now part of the Texas A&M system. She is married to Jackie Robinson and lives in Houma, LA. She has two children, Sara and Jason, both of whom live in San Diego, CA.

    Victoria P. White joined Adams and Reese in 2010 and is a Partner in the
    Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group in the firm’s New Orleans office.     Victoria is the Co-Chair of the Louisiana chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation and the Louisiana chapter of the Turnaround Management Association’s NextGen program. Within the Firm, she serves as a Committee Chair for the Women’s Initiative Team, which promotes women’s development and awareness of women’s issues. She also serves on the Board of the UNO International Alumni Association.
    Victoria received her J.D. from Loyola University College of Law, summa cum
    laude. While at Loyola, she was named a William E. Crowe scholar and served
    as a member of the Loyola Law Review and the Moot Court staff. Victoria
    earned her B.A. in Philosophy with honors from the University of New Orleans, where she received the Philosophy Faculty Award for an Outstanding
    Graduating Senior, earned the Phi Beta Kappa Scholarly Merit Award, and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. After graduating from Loyola Law School, Victoria took the California bar exam and practiced in Palo Alto, California before returning home to New Orleans in 2010.

Committed to her community, Lawrence works with Hispanic Apostolate, an affiliate to New Orleans Catholic Charities, to promote opportunities for those with legal work status in the United States.     Delta Personnel has made many achievements under Lawrence’s direction. The company gained national certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council in 2006, where she presently serves as New Orleans Regional Director. She also holds national certification through the Southern Region Minority Supplier Diversity Council as a minority-owned business where in 2011 was chosen as Supplier of the Year. In 2005, Delta Personnel was chosen as the service partner by the Louisiana Department of Labor to help locate and recruit New Orleanians who were trying to register for employment. . The company was able to assist many employers and employees get themselves back into the workforce. Also, with Delta Personnel’s recruiting efforts, they accomplished seamless operation that provided Lockheed Martin’s maintenance and food service contractor with a full staff including supervision.

    My name is Thelma Ceballos Meyers and I was born in New Orleans, LA; my mother Thelma Tapia is from Nicaragua and my father, Cesar Ceballos is from Guatemala.

    Graduated from Warren Easton High School, May 1989; received my Marketing degree from Tulane University, May 2007 and completed my LUTCF designation, March 2015.

    Celebrating 18 years of marriage to Craig Meyers on August 2015; and between the both of us, we have 8 beautiful grandchildren.

    In 1999, I began my career with State Farm Insurance but didn’t open my State Farm Insurance agency doors until December 1st, 2007. At my office, our goal is to educate the community on insurance and financial service products in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

    I am a firm believer of giving back. In 2013, I became the first Latina Smart Driver volunteer instructor for AARP in LA (mainly to help my older Spanish clientele get discounts on their car insurance.) Since inception of my office, every other year, we do a Customer Appreciation event, to show our appreciation not just to our clients, but also to the community. I have participated in KABOOM!, a project for building playgrounds for local urban schools, providing school bags & supplies to local students, donate food baskets on Thanksgiving, and Visa gift cards during Christmas. Also speak at local high schools on the dangers of drinking and/or texting while driving and motivational speeches to young ladies on overcoming challenges and obstacles, being that I was a teenage mother and now a business owner.

    In 2014, I was proudly appointed as President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the Hispanic Chamber Foundation. I am proud to see the positive changes that have transpired within the Chamber and the Hispanic community.

    Note that in 1999, the Gulf Coast International Chamber of Commerce, under the Presidency of Dr. Vinicio Madrigal, was merged into the Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, under the Presidency of Rufino Saavedra.  The new name of the ensuing organization was the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana.  President Saavedra remained in office until the end of 1999.

    Note:  Dr. Madrigal was Founder and  President of the Gulf Coast International Chamber of Commerce.  In 1999, said chamber was merged into the Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce under the Presidency of Rufino Saavedra.  The new name given to the ensuing merged organization was the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana – the organization as it stands today.  While Dr. Madrigal was technically never a president of HCCL, we wish to include him here as an integral part of the history and growth of the organization following the merger.  He served with distinction as a member of the HCCL Board.
